Her First Idol

August 4, 2008

Recently we went to the Medieval Days at Kungälv, outside of Göteborg. After we had eaten some food we heard this great rhythm from the load speakers, follows by what sounded as some kind of bag pipe. Clara and I went to see what was going on.

As you can tell, she was really fascinated by the person on stage. This was her first “concert”, and she was looking at her first “idol”. Should I have been worried?

YEEEEES!!!

Lucky for us, it sounded really great. Clara couldn’t stand still. “Common daddy! Let’s dance!”

That we did.

Later on I had a serious talk with her. I told her that when growing up, if she wanted to go to any concert, then dad would have to tag along – just in case. She seemed happy about that. Just remind me to remind her when she turns 15 that she gave me that promise. I’m gonna hold her to it.

    He He!

If I had listened to my dad I would not have been a fan of you three guys. How about that? So it is not all the time you should listen to your dad.

But of course you must always respect your parents. But it is not everything that they shall decide for you.

So good luck with getting your daugther to listen to you when she’s 15;-)

    hahaha…great story!
August 30-31 we have “the Scottish Days” in Belgium as well. We are planning to go too!
I hope my 2 sons will be even enthousiastic as Clara. But I don’t think I will be that lucky. They are not found of a crawd and loud noises “thanks to” their autism. That also solves the other problem for me…if they want to go out later…They will HAVE to take me with them. Bad for them, good for me maybe. I’ll always have a reason to go out to concerts and so.
    That’s life, isn’t it?

    Kh
